Children's ministry at NKMB

It is our desire to walk with children as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. We really believe that every child should know that they are loved, are seen, and have a purpose from God and in the church community. God has made each one of us in his image and unique at the same time. Children need different opportunities to tune into their emotions through worship, with joy and love, while learning to be spiritually responsive. Our goal is that through teaching, Bible verse memory work, worship and games, children will learn more about who Jesus is and that they will understand how deeply He loves each of them.

For one week at the end July, NKMB becomes a magical place! We pull out all the stops to provide an exciting VBS program for children from Kindergarten to Grade 5.  The program will run Sunday, July 30 to Thursday, August 3, 2017, 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

Kids Options During the Worship Service Sunday Morning

WIRED is offered for children ages 5-8, during the 11 AM worship service. Children will begin the worship service with their families in the sanctuary and then be invited to join WIRED midway. Sometimes adult services can be too abstract for our kids so we've created an environment that will challenge children at their level with worship, biblical lessons, hands on activities, special treats and prayer always! We will also be intentional to have lessons that relate to what is being taught in the church service.

Child Care is provided for children ages 2-4 from at the same time. They are welcome to join us for games, crafts and playtime during the sermon.

Nursery Care is provided for children ages 9 months to 24 months. They are invited to come and play and be cared for by caring adults and youth assistants from 11:00 am - noon.

Parent supervision: If you do not wish to leave your child during the service, but need a place for them to play, a room is provided for that as well. An usher will be happy to direct you.

Our facilities include a Nursing Mom's room for use throughout the Sunday morning activities. This room is equipped with a video and audio feed of the 11 am service.

Sunday School (9:30 am)

Each Sunday morning we provide a safe environment for children aged 2 through grade 5 where they can learn about Jesus and connect with each other.

Children are invited to participate in classes with stories, games, crafts and singing that introduce them to the love of God in age appropriate ways.

The Sunday school program runs from September 11, 2016 to June 4, 2017 with the exception of long weekends.

How do I register my child?

On the first Sunday morning your arrive at the church, please register your child at the Children's Ministry Centre in the foyer. We use a name tag system to ensure the safety of your child. After your initial registration you will find name tags available for pick up at the desk. Once your child has a name tag you may proceed to the children's ministry wing of the church to find your child's class. A teacher will be there to meet your child.
