Children's Ministries at NKMB

Kids are a part of worship at NKMB. See how they can be involved!

Note: Sunday School classes run from September - May only. Fall Sunday School Kickoff and Registration for age 2-Grade 6 - Sunday September 11.

Sunday school – 9:30am – 10:30am
Children age 2 to Gr. 6 are invited to participate in stories, games, crafts and singing that introduce them to the love of God in age appropriate ways.

Nursery Care – 11am – 12 noon
Children ages 9 months to 24 months are invited to come and play and be cared for by caring adults and youth assistants during the English service. (currently not offered due to lack of demand)

Child Care – 11:30am – 12 noon
Children ages 2 – 4 are welcome to join us for games, crafts and playtime during the English sermon.

If you do not wish to leave your child during the service, but need a place for them to play, a room is provided for that as well.

Our facilities include a Nursing Mom's room for use throughout the Sunday morning activities.

Families

The Family Life Team promote healthy families, faith and friendship. They offer events for families with children from birth to 12 years. Watch the bulletin for information about: family gym nights, tobogganing, exploring the Children's Museum, Summertime Fun BBQs and more.

 

Midweek Programs

NKMB Glow Girls (grade 2 – 6)
This is a midweek program for all girls from the surrounding community within the school grade range. September - May

NKMB Boys Club (grade 2 – 6)
This is a midweek program for all boys from the surrounding community within the school grade range. September - May

NKMB Safe Place Policy

NKMB is diligent in following the Safe Place policy as set out by the MB Church of Manitoba and the Government of Manitoba and fulfills liability requirements. This includes:

• Registration forms for all children in programs
• Name-tags for children and volunteers
• Check-in and check-out system each Sunday for children grades 3 and under
• Police / abuse checks for volunteers and staff

Mennonite Brethren Children's Centre

Mennonite Brethren Children's Centre (MBCC) is a Nursery School program within the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church facility. From September until May, children ages three through five gather to play, hear Bible stories, get an introduction to the German language, and help prepare for Kindergarten. MBCC offers a two or three day program from 9:15 am - 11:15 am. It is run by three experienced teachers.
