Considering that council, at the request of Pastor Vic, had proposed specific areas in which our church could develop an action plan to undertake concrete steps in defined areas to develop/organize specific activities/events to engage our church in furthering the Kingdom of God in a very direct and practical manner, council recommended 5 areas as listed below:

1. Bike-a-thon
2. Men’s Breakfast
3. Community outreach
4. Marriage/family retreat
5. Missions project 

Also considering that Pastor Vic had requested that for each of the above named activities/projects some members of council would get directly involved with the goal to connect council to these activities and to show council support, Elfrieda Balzer and Rudolf Duerksen volunteered for the missions project.

And considering that NKMB had been involved in organizing an all Cuban Anabaptist Women’s conference in 2008 and that pastor Vic, Rudolf and Mike had visited different BIC churches and BIC leadership in February this year - we now propose the following project to be implemented for Cuba, starting in the second half of 2009 and to be completed in 2010.
