TRAINING CAMP (Staff/Volunteers)
Apply to be a part of the team! Are you interested in volunteering or working for our NKMB Day Camps this summer. Join us as we establish a vibrant faith-filled environment for our campers. (You must be entering Grade 8 and up to apply)
As a staff member or volunteer, training camp is a free 3-day experience for teens!
Training Camp Itinerary:
Wednesday, July 3 | 10:00am – 4:00pm
-First Aid/CPR training and an afternoon pool party at Cathy’s place
Thursday, July 4 | 9:00am – 5:00pm
-A trip up Hwy 9 through Gimli and on to Arborg Aquatic Centre
Friday, July 5 | 9:00am-5:00pm
– Day trip to Hunt Lake Trail in the Whiteshell
Throughout this 3 day camp, we will be focusing on teaching essential skills and engaging leadership discussions at each location. We will also be challenging the teens with a number of biblical exercises preparing them for a summer of ministry.
July 8-11 | DRENCHED
Monday, July 8 | Splash Tour
Board the bus and take a little tour of our fine city, visit some fun places to get drenched and enjoy some local snacks.
Tuesday, July 9 | Beach Life
This day includes a bible story on the broken head trail and an afternoon at the Beach.
Wednesday, July 10 | Aqua Flix
Enjoy a day creating group bible movie trailers to be viewed in our large groups. With an Aqua Flix awards ceremony to follow.
Thursday, July 11 | Hoopla Island in Pinawa
We end our week off at the fantastic outdoor water park in beautiful Pinawa, MB. Check it out here: https://www.hooplaisland.com/

July 15-18 | VINTAGE
Monday, July 15 | The Vintage Tour
Take a trip back in time as we enter some of Winnipeg’s oldest buildings for stories of the past. This day includes some really yummy treats.
Tuesday, July 16 | Tinkertown
It’s an ‘All-you-can-ride’ type of day at Tinkertown. Get your wrist bands, and Go!
Wednesday, July 17 | Prairie Dog Central Train
Take a vintage ride on the Prairie Dog Train to Grosse Isle. Enjoy lunch and snacks on the train with a stopover and tour of the town’s old places. There is a exciting surprise as well!
Thursday, July 18 | Road to Arborg Aquatic Centre
Today we will set out on a road trip with many stops along the way, for our vintage themed kids camp. Excitement fills the air as the convoy makes its final stop at the Arborg Aquatic Centre. Get ready for a thrilling time. After our time at the park we will need to re-energize with some special snacks from the famous Arborg bakery…..YUM!

July 22-25 Half Day Camp | GAME ON!
Kids, are you ready for the most exciting event of the summer – Game On! This ultimate sports camp is the camp for YOU! Get ready to embark on a thrilling journey where faith, fun and fitness collide in the most spectacular ways!
Kids will develop skills in sport and games while acquiring awesome truths about Jesus. Some days include mini trips on our bus.
Times: 9:00am-12:00pm (Half Day)

July 22-25 | Afternoon Teen Camp (Half Day) | SPOTLIGHT
Spotlight drama camp aims to empower teens to become confident, compassionate, and spiritually grounded individuals who use their creative gifts to positively impact their communities.
This drama camp will provide a safe and nurturing space for teens to explore the spotlight, not just on stage but in their faith journey! This year we will have the exciting opportunity to have a group learn and perform the drama’s for our VBS+ day camp the following week.
Times: 1:00pm-4:00pm (Half Days)
Cost for this camp: $50
Ages: Going into Gr. 6-12
July 29-Aug. 1 | VBS+
This new week brings in the vbs qualities that we all know and love including large group bible time with dramas with the small group stations. The PLUS part brings our bus into the week. Each day, a group will head out on the bus for a fun excursion including treats and activity.
VBS plus runs from 9:00am-1:00pm from Monday-Thursday.
Cost for VBS+: $25

August 6-9 | COLLECTIVE JOY DANCE CAMP
Collective Joy Dance Camp is a spiritually enriching and joyous dance experience tailored for children in grades 3-6. This unique camp is designed to combine the art of dance with biblical teachings, fostering a sense of community, worship, and celebration of faith through movement.
Times: 9:30am-11:30am from Tuesday-Friday.
Cost for this camp: $25/child

August 12-15 | TRAILBLAZER (5 SPOTS)
Monday, August 12 | Grand Prix Amusements
We have Go-Karts, trampolines, bumper boats and more to look forward to on our first day.
Tuesday, August 13 | Pathfinders Quest
Are you ready to embark on a thrilling scavenger hunt at Assiniboine Park with “Pathfinders Quest”. Teams will navigate through the park, solving clues and discovering hidden treasure’s at iconic landmarks. We will end the hunt with a celebratory treat from Sargent Sundae’s.
Wednesday, August 14 | Happy Trails at Birds Hill Ranch
Join us for a day at the ranch! This includes horseback riding for ages 8+ and pony rides and hay rides for everyone else.
Thursday, August 15 | Blaze a trail at the Lake
This day will kick off with a late morning hike followed by a fun filled blueberry-picking excursion along the McGilvary Trail. After a picnic lunch kids will cool off with a refreshing swim and embrace the thrill of rock jumping at Caddy Lake beach.

August 19-22 | Half Day Camp | BUILD (More Spots Opened up)
Build Camp is more than just a craft camp; it’s a journey of faith, friendship and creativity. Our hope is to empower kids to construct a solid foundation in their faith, character and artistic abilities, through a combination of fun projects, Bible stories and joyful worship! Our hope is that kids will leave wanting to continue to “BUILD” their lives on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ.
Monday- Crafting Extravaganza & Baking Challenge
Tuesday- Building project part 1
Wednesday- Building Project part 2
Thursday- Out in Nature – A morning to build a fire, create snacks & connect with Jesus in God’s creation. (Bus trip)

August 26-29 | ESCAPE (New spots opened)
Due to high demand, we have secured a second bus to allow for more kids!
Monday, August 26 | Hide and Seek Winnipeg
Once we’ve made our friends and enjoyed a great bible time, we will head over to Hide and Seek, Winnipeg’s premiere indoor playground. We’ll make a stop over at the Lindt Store for some treats on the way back!
Tuesday, August 27 | The Beach Escape
This day includes a bible story on the broken head trail and an afternoon at the Beach.
Wednesday, August 28 | Activate & Escape
We look forward to an afternoon with older kids going to activate and the younger ones heading to Real Escape!
Thursday, August 29 | Splash Island Waterpark
Our summer finale is a day at the water park in Portage. Waterslides, lazy river and more.
